Berthelot Lake Lodge
  • Approximate Cost:
    6 - 7 Days: $1,000 to $1,500 Per Person
  • Access: Drive In Camp Fly In Camp

The Berthelot Lake Lodge sits about 70 miles to the East of Senneterra and is accessible by vehicle. The lodge is off of Highway 113 and down a gravel road. The remote location means that the lake is not overfished and that guests have access to bigger fish that are wild and aggressive.

Fishing with Berthelot Lake Lodge

This is an area that is prime for Northern Pike and Walleye Fishing. The local lakes offer a dynamic fishing environment, and many have islands and bays that are rarely fished. What this means is that the fish here are wild and aggressive. The location also helps to ensure that the lakes are not overfished.

It is easy to find the Northern pike in many of the sheltered bays. By mid-summer, the weed patches have grown thick and those are the ideal places to target big, Trophy Northern Pike and Big Walleye. You can also find big Walleye off of rocky points where they "claim" a territory. The younger Walleye tend to hunt in packs, which helps to protect them from the Northern Pike.

Overall, expect to have plenty of access to both Northern Pike and Walleye.

The Lodge at Berthelot Lake Lodge

Guests who stay here have several options. There is a main lodge and a number of outpost cabins.

At the main camp, expect cabins with modern facilities. The cabins come with electricity, oil furnaces, running water, and indoor plumbing, including a flush toilet. There is a central show building and the cabins are furnished with double beds, single beds and linens. Cabins have Wi-Fi

There is a small grocery store on site along with a restaurant. The lodge offers guide services upon request. There is also a fish cleaning house with running water and electricity.

Guests also have the option of booking one of the fly-in outpost cabins. The cabins come with a 14' boat, motor and each boat holds two fishermen. Multiple boats are available for larger parties. The cabins are equipped with a kitchen and guests are required to bring their own sleeping bags, food, and necessities.
