Fishermen enjoy outstanding fishing for Walleye and Northern Pike in a lodge that is set up for families or fishing groups.

Fishing with Besnard Lake Lodge

For all lodges in Saskatchewan, you must buy your fishing license online thanks to changes in the provincial government.

The cabins here at Besnard Lake Lodge are modern and include indoor plumbing, restrooms, full kitchens, and plenty of comforts. For all but the newest cabin, there is a communal shower house.

Fishing here is just amazing. The dynamics of the lake changes constantly so fishermen have the opportunity to fish an amazing variety of habitats. As mentioned, the lake is known as the "Lake of many islands." That feature is what makes this a fishing oasis. The dotting islands help create fishing nurseries which attract those big Trophy Fish. There are quiet bays, coves, sheltered breaks, and deep water. Amid all of the islands are underwater structures, points, and shoals. Pick your poison, you cannot really go wrong here. You also can fish the Mercier River which feeds into Besnard Lake. This is part of the world-famous Churchill River System and as such lives up to the prolific fishing that is known on the Churchill. The guides here are also top notch natives who have fished these waters for decades if not all of their lives. they bring you right to the big fish and then all you need to do is land them.
