One of the cool things about BowCrow Fishing Adventures is that they offer multi-day fishing adventures as well as full day fishing trips. Many guides and outfitters offer only full or half-day trips. A multi-day fishing adventure lets you really experience the magic that is fishing here in Southwestern Alberta.
The Rivers
Southwestern Alberta is home to some amazing rivers. The most famous is the Bow River. The Bow River is home to big Trophy Rainbows and Brown Trout. It offers a vast and varied fishing experience. The upper bow is home to Cutthroat and Brook Trout with the occasional Bull Trout. This is a rugged stretch of river and while there are some areas suited to drifting it is easy to walk and wade. Other rivers include the Oldman River, Crowsnest River, Highwood River, Livingstone River, Castle River, as well as many mountain streams and alpine lakes.
The Fish
People come for the Trophy Rainbows and the Trophy Browns on the Lower Bow River. Those who venture into this magical area find that there are Trophy Trout in many of the rivers. You will need an experienced guide to put you on the fish, but that's not a problem at BowCrow Fishing Adventures.
Rainbow Trout are available in most rivers here and in the lakes to as are big Brown Trout. On the Oldman River, you can target wild Rainbows, Cutthroat, and Bull Trout. Bull Trout can hit the 35" mark too. The Crowsnest River is a great place to target Rainbow Trout. You sometimes hit Cutthroat and Brook Trout here too. An amazing river is the Highwood River with its deep pools. Here you can target Trophy Rainbows but the big Monsters here are the Bull Trout. If you love throwing flies for Cutthroat Trout then the Livingstone River is a haven for you. Sometimes you can temp a big Bull Trout to strike too.
You also have access to many mountain streams which also make outstanding fishing destinations.
Overall, expect an outstanding guide service and outfitter. They know the waters, the fish and how to help you have the best fishing adventure possible.
