Blue Heron Resort

Anyone who fishes Ontario knows that, odds are, the less fishing pressure a lake or river sees, the better the fishing is likely to be. From the Espanola Dam to the mouth of the Spanish River, Blue Heron Resort is the only lodge minus a few private residences as well. It’ll feel like you’ve got the river to yourself on most days but you won’t be lonely; the fish you catch will keep you company. The river also has a short fishing season for Walleye and any Muskie caught must be released here. This translates into plenty of walleye to catch for consumption and if you hook into a Muskie it’s a fight that’ll get your adrenaline pumping. The river varies in depth and structure so any approach to landing fish can be tried here and can garner you some nice catches for sure

Cottages range from 1-3 bedroom and are all equipped with a full bathroom/shower. This is a Housekeeping only lodge so the kitchens are fully stocked for good home cooking. The bedrooms are equipped with linens and each cabin has electric heating also as a plus here to keep you comfortable. Water and electric hookups are available for the RV/Camping sites for an additional charge.
