Fishing with Cedar Point Resort
If you have come for the Walleye, the season opens the third week in May with a limit of four in possession. Top lures include Mister Twister, Little Joe spinners in Chartreuse, Orange, Pearl, Green and White.
The Smallmouth Bass season is open year round with a limit of four in possession after July 1. These are awesome for fly fishermen, spin casters, or trollers. Smallmouth Bass like Chartreuse, Orange, and White lures and flies.
The Nothern Pike season is open year round with a limit of four in possession, but only one over 35.5 inches in length. These monstrous fish are often found in weedy beds in calm bays. These are awesome on a fly rod with a dry fly. They also do well on spinners with weedless spoons.
Muskies are the giants of the lake. The season opens the third Saturday in June with a limit of one that is over 54 inches. If you are fishing Muskie, a 20-pound test line is recommended. They like red, chartreuse, orange, and yellow colors.
Expect ample fishing opportunities. Remember to buy your fishing license before you arrive as the Lodge does not sell them and it is a drive back to town to get one.
