Chimo Lodge and Outposts
  • Approximate Cost:
    6 - 7 Days: $750 to $1,000 Per Person
  • Access: Drive In Camp Fly In Camp

The Chimo Lodge & Outposts is a series of a main camp and outpost cabins. The main camp sits along the shores of Roderick Lake and serves as a base for fly-out to the outpost cabins. Both the main lodge and the outpost offer excellent fishing for Walleye and Northern Pike. Best of all, the main camp is just over a three hour drive from International Falls.

Lodging with Chimo Lodge & Outposts

The main camp offers housekeeping cabins and is reachable only by air. The main lodge is a series of five cabins constructed of pine logs and offer two-four bedroom floor plans. Cabins have solar lights and power, Wi-Fi, full kitchen with propane stove, electric fridge and even a freezer. Beds are equipped with linens, bedding, and comfortable mattresses. The bathrooms are three piece units with a shower. Outside is a gas grill.

The outpost cabins are more like small homes. Expect clean comfortable cabins with similar features as the main lodge.

  • Definitely a 5 star experience. Great cabin, satellite wireless when needed, also solar powered, so no refilling or listening to a generator. Whole lake for 4 guys all to ourselves; 500+ Walleyes, 50+ Northern Pike (1 @ 40 inches), and a few Perch. All catch and release, minus several lunches and dinners of the smaller ones. Some of the best fun was catching fish using our own homemade lures, which were actually quite productive. A great time was had by all.
