The Cree River Lodge is a short two-hour flight from Minneapolis and less than a 15-minute flight from Stony Rapids. The lodge offers remote fishing 75-miles from the North West Territories border. You can reach the lodge in a single day flying out of Denver, Chicago, Saskatoon and Minneapolis so getting here is fairly easy. You can even fly directly to Stony Rapids in your own plane. All guests depart Stony Rapids via a float plane to the lodge.

Fishing with Cree River Lodge

The lodge sits along the Cree River in a sheltered cove where the fishing is good regardless of the weather. The lodge holds 20-guests max who are housed in private cabins that hold up to four people. The cabins feature electric heat, hot showers, cold running waters, full bath, and Wi-Fi. Each cabin comes with linens and maid service.

The Cree River Lodge is a Northern Pike trophy Haven. The average Northern Pike range from 30 to 40 inches and the trophies range from 40 to 50 inches. For those fishermen looking for trophy Northern Pike. This is an excellent place to consider. Besides big trophy Northern Pike, there are plenty of 2- to 6-pound Walleye. The best time for Walleye fishing is the month of August. The area around the Cree River Lodge is home to some fantastic trophy lakes for Lake Trout. For those of you who are adventurous consider it a day trip down the Cree River to an area called the dunes, which is a catch and release area, offering ample opportunity for trophy fishing. Be sure to bring your own fly rod and gear.
