Davin Lake Lodge and Wathaman Outpost offers fishing opportunities in Northern Saskatchewan on lakes that seldom see fishermen. Here, the fish grow large and fishermen have a tremendous opportunity to battle trophy-grade Northern Pike, Walleye, and Lake Trout. The lodge and outpost are accessible by vehicle and sit about 650 miles north of the border between the U.S. and Canada and 170 miles north of La Ronge. You can fly into La Ronge and then fly to camp or drive, making this an easy access lodge.

Depending on the package you choose boat rental might be included. If so, expect to fish with two guests per boats. Boats offer padded swivel seats and landing nets, fuel for the motor. Guides are available for $500 per day and help anglers target and locate the big Trophy Fish. The lodge requests that you book your guide in advance to ensure that there is an available guide to fish with you.
The lodge runs a Pikemaster Competition and tallies up the sizes of the Northern Pike caught at the lake for the year. There is a brag board and it helps to demonstrate the size of the Trophy Northern Pike. The 2014 winner landed a 49.5 inch Northern Pike. In 2013, the winning Pike was 45-inches long. In 2012, Michele Diekman landed a 46.5 inch Northern Pike. There are plenty of big fish here and Trophy Fish are Catch-and-Release.
There are also plenty of big Walleye for those who love Walleye fishing. With a vast shoreline and access to nearby lakes, fishermen can expect to fish wild fish in undisturbed waters.
