You can find the Dufferin Lake Lodge some 150 miles to the Northeast of Fort McMurray, which makes getting here very easy. The lodge is accessible only by floatplane and you simply need to get to Fort McMurray to board your connection. The trip from Fort McMurray to the lodge takes about an hour. The trip is well worth the effort Dufferin Lake is a haven for Walleye and Northern Pike fishing
Fishing with the Dufferin Lake Lodge
The lodge provides fishermen with boats, motors, fuel and quads. You have access to big Northern Pike, Big Lake Trout, and Walleye. The lake is dynamic and offers plenty of different fishing habits so that you can either challenge yourself or stick with what you know.
Expect to find deep channels, rocky points, and quiet bays and here, even the small bays likely contain big Northern Pike. The Lake Trout are easy to catch in the cooler months such as May before the water in the lake really starts to heat up. These big fish are very sensitive to water temperature. So, if you want to target big Lake Trout, you will need to head deeper during the hotter months.
Overall, expect pretty decent fishing with ample opportunities for Big, Trophy Fish.

Lodging with Dufferin Lake Lodge
There is room at Dufferin Lake Lodge for 12 guests. The lodge offers five bedrooms and three bathrooms. There is a full kitchen, hot and cold running water, and 24-hour electricity via a generator. There is even satellite TV and mixed in are comfortable places to sit and converse. There is even a laundry facility.
They offer a variety of packages and with their light housekeeping package, you can add a meal plan so that you don't have to do any of the cooking, otherwise, you must bring your own groceries and do all the meal prep.
The lodge books out to groups of six or more. Expect twin beds, clean and comfortable accommodations, and access to plenty of good fishing.
