The Eagles Nest Lodge is a world-class fishing destination for Trophy Walleye in the upper reaches of the Winnipeg River. Guests of the lodge can fly-in or boat-in. This is a remote lodge with modern facilities and outstanding fishing for Walleye, Northern Pike, and Smallmouth Bass. The lodge holds the Cabela's World's Foremost Destination badge too

Lodging with the Eagles Nest Lodge

The lodge consists of the main lodge building and five out-cabins which can hold upwards of 41 guests at a time. Guests enjoy professionally prepared meals at the main lodge which also holds a meeting space making this destination perfect for groups and business vacations.

The five out-cabins range in size and sleep 5-12 guests depending on the cabin you choose. There is a clubhouse which features billiards, darts and other games and makes a perfect spot to exchange fishing stories.

Each cabin is beautifully constructed, has two four-piece bathrooms, and some offer sitting areas too. Amenities include a fridge, 24-7 electricity, heating and AC, satellite TV, a fireplace, deck and private dock. Wi-Fi is available only in the main lodge building.

Overall, expect a comfort place to stay with a very attentive staff.

Fishing with Eagles Nest Lodge

This is home to good fishing. The lodge and lake are known for world-class Smallmouth Bass fishing. The season for Smallmouth Bass peaks from May through the middle of June. Expect big Bass.

May and June is also a prime time for Northern Bass fishing. The fish move to the edge of the lake seeking the warmer water and the smaller fish that are attracted by the increased activity from aquatic insects. Trophy Northern Pike reach 48 plus inches here and are easily found in the many weed beds that dot the coves and sheltered bays. If you are interested in Northern Pike Trophy fishing pack a few big lures such as the 10" Suicks. The big Pike like big lures.

Trophy Walleye fishing is available all summer long. Walleyes on the Winnipeg River like jigs and light/medium spinners.

Fly Fishermen are welcome and the lake is perfect for targeting Smallmouth Bass in June and July. You may even tempt a Northern Pike to strike on a dry small mammal fly.

Overall, expect an outstanding lodge with outstanding fishing.
