Hopper Stone Outfitters fishes exclusively on the Bow River around Calgary, Alberta. Because of the amount of time they spend on the river, it is difficult to find guides who know the river better than do those at Hopper Stone Outfitters. This is a wet or dry fly fishing outfit that targets Trophy Trout on the Bow River.

While Hopper Stone Outfitters focuses on the Bow River in Calgary, they fish the world over. They offer tropical fishing excursions to Belize and Cabo San Lucas where guests can fly fish for some most exciting fish around - Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin, Dorado, Wahoo Tuna, and Yellow Fin too. You can also fish near shore for some of the best saltwater fishing fish.
On the Bow River the focus is always on Trophy Trout and even though the river meanders, Hopper Stone Outfitters and guides know the river and know how to put you on top of Trophy Trout.

The Bow River and Fly Fishing Trophy Trout
Hopper Stone Outfitters offers full day and half day float trips on the Bow River which includes a knowledgeable, experienced, and customer oriented fishing guide.
They do not provide lodging but they do provide pick up and drop off services. Guests can choose their own hotel and the service will pick you up and drop you off at your hotel. They provide you with lunch on the river including soft drinks but ask that you bring any other snacks with you. They provide all of the gear but you are welcome to bring your own rod and reel and tackle if you want.
What you will need is an Alberta Provincial Fishing License.
The target here is big Trophy Trout you have access to Brook Trout, Brown Trout, Lake Trout in Bow Lake, Rainbow Trout and on occasion, Northern Pike, and Walleye. Most trout are catch and release, but in some areas of the Bow River, you are able to keep Bull Trout.
Overall, you should expect very competent guides, comfortable boats, and the time needed to target trophy trout.

- great way to spend a day ..if you like to fish look no further . Rich from Hopper-Stone Outfitters is a great guide, bottom line, fish to the net all day long .....Great time I recommend a float .
