- Where We Fish: Kabinakagami Lake
- What we fish for: Walleye, Northern Pike, Yellow Perch, Whitefish
Kaby lodge sits 45-miles Northeast of White River along the southern shores of Kabinakagami Lake in the Northern Ontario. This is a place for trophy Northern Pike, Walleye, and for hunters who wish to target Big Black Bear or Moose.
Fishing with Kaby Lodge
Guests who fish here have access to big Northern Pike and Walleye as well as Yellow Perch and Whitefish. There are areas here where you can target Brook Trout, and if you are a fly fisherman, there are other species of Trout Available too.
The lake stretches for some 25 miles and offers nearly 31K acres of fishable water. This is the headwaters of the Albany River.
Trophies - The Northern Pike stretch to 40-45 inches thank to the fact that the lake ice breaks early here and is usually gone by May. This allows the fish to feed earlier and grow larger. The same is true for the Walleye and the season for Walleye opens here in the Third Week of May.
Guests fish from 16-foot Aluminum Boats with 20HP motors. Boats are equipped with fishfinders. Guides are available and highly suggested since the lake is large and the trophy fish many.
Overall, expect outstanding accommodations, good fishing, and plenty of access to big Trophy Fish.

Lodging with Kaby Lodge
Expect luxury in the wilderness whether you choose a housekeeping plan or the American Plan. The local area here is beautiful, the food is home cooked and outstanding, and the accommodations are remarkable.
Cabins have a full kitchen, sitting areas, dining area, and are constructed from local logs. They are warm, clean, and offer indoor plumbing and showers. The main lodge is the social hub and a place where most people gather for meals. The food here is home cooked and there is plenty to choose from on the American plan. If you want to fly in your own groceries you can opt for the housekeeping plan.
Expect a single queen-sized bed with twin beds, hot/cold running water, and electricity. There are BBQ's available via the lodge and there is maid service that occurs once per your stay to refresh towels, etc.
There is a general store on site and you can purchase your fishing license there. They also carry most of the equipment you'd need to target fish on their lakes. They have a limited amount of groceries - mostly snacks and beverages.
