Lake Suzie Outfitter is just east of Val D'or in Quebec. This is the Abitibi region and the outfitters have a 160 square mile territory that is home to some 105 lakes and outstanding fishing. The current ownership has had the property since 2008 and is continually investing in upgrades to fishing, lodging, and activities. They practice conservation and at some of the lakes more so than at others. The goal is to increase the number of available Trophy Walleye so that guests of the lodge can enjoy the bounty of this wild country.

Fishing with the Lake Suzie Outfitter

The big attraction here is Walleye and Northern Pike. The conservation lakes produce 30+ pound Northern Pike and Big, Fat Walleyes in the 10+ pound range. Those lakes are catch-and-release only. With so many lakes and the exclusive right to fish there held only by the Lake Suzie Outfitter, there are lakes here that are never fished. Those are wild opportunities to battle wild fish. This is a guided fishing lodge and they supply guides that are both professional and well-seasoned. You will need to provide your own landing net, tackle, and poles as well as your own life jacket. If needed you will provide your own depth finder or fish finder.

Overall, expect outstanding opportunities to fish for Trophy Northern Pike and Walleye in a location that is beautiful and pristine.

Lodging with Lake Suzie Outfitter

Guests stay in cabins that are rated from 2 to 4 stars. Each cabin has indoor plumbing including flush toilets and showers. They have kitchens that are equipped with propane stove and a refrigerator. There is running water and all of the tools needed to make a meal. Heating is via a wood stove, running water, dishes, pots, and utensils. Not all cabins have electricity but most are wired to hook up to a generator which you can rent from the lodge.

Overall, expect a rustic stay in clean cabins that offer easy access to great fishing.
