Located in Northeastern Ontario about 5 hours North of Toronto, Lost Lake Lodge is a full service fishing lodge that is easily accessible via Highway 11. The Lodge has nicely equipped cabins and offers free satellite TV and WiFi in all of them. The cabins are spread out nicely as well with over 1200 feet of shoreline that spans the lodge. A store is on site that offers tackle, souvenirs, and some of the small comforts of home you may have left on their in your excitement to hit the road. Another nice bonus here is their laundry service, which is available anytime.

What You'll Find While Fishing Lost Lake

You could easily get 'lost' in the fishing opportunities here as there are 10 lakes in total available for guests of Lost Lake Lodge to fish. Lost Lake itself has Walleye, Northern Pike, and Smallmouth Bass as do most of the lakes accessible from the lodge, however, some are better for Northern Pike like Bloom Lake, whereas Speckled and Brook Trout can be found easily in Leta Lake and that's just to name a few. All the lakes are fished on an honorary conservation policy, meaning that what is best for the fish populations in terms of size is carefully released while the fish kept for a classic fish fry or shore lunch are those that are done so without threat to the numbers of fish in the lakes. You can catch a trophy fish here (and you probably will) and after you get a good picture, its safe return to the lake ensures more lunker fish for years to come.

Accommodations and Dining

Housekeeping and American plans are offered here and both are great options as the food is delicious and the cabins have everything you need in terms of appliances and cookware. There's also good bird watching, berry picking, swimming, horseshoes, or even some golf (about an hour's drive) from the lodge. Hunting packages are also available here for Black Bear and Moose spread out over a large conservatory only hunted by Lost Lake Lodge. It's truly an all around outdoors destination.
