The Lunge Lodge sits nearly due East of Wolseley Bay and right on the shores of the French River. Getting here is fairly easy. They pick you up at the Riverview Marina. You can get to the Marina by Taking Highway 69 and then turning East onto Route 64. You can also pick up Route 64 from Highway 535. The lodge offers both American Plans and Housekeeping Plans and plenty of access for fishing big Northern Pike, Walleye, and the elusive Muskie.

Fishing with Lunge Lodge

Rental boats are either a 16' or 18' Deep-V aluminum boat. Boats are set up to hold two anglers with padded swivel seats and a flat floor for casting. The boats are well-equipped with personal floatation devices, safety kit, anchor, 1 pair of paddles, an aerated live well, depth finder and pump.

Fishing here is Self-Guided and the local area is home to Walleye, Northern Pike, and Muskie. You are responsible to bring all gear and you should come equipped to handle a variety of fish. For the large Northern Pike and Muskie, a heavyweight spinning rod or fly pole may suffice. For Walleye a medium weight pole should be good. If you want to fly fish, then both Walleye and Northern Pike are available. You can also rent a trolling motor if you want to troll for Lake Trout.

Expect a beautiful river system with plenty of bays and deeper flows. You can buy live bait at the lodge or come with lures and flies.

Lodging with Lunge Lodge

There are meals available in the lodge for those who opts for the American Plan. Your cabins all have a refrigerator, 3-piece bath with shower, and all of the bedding and towels are supplied to you. With the American Plan, you can rent a boat. The Housekeeping cabins sleep upto four people. You bring your own food. You can buy bait at the lodge and rent a boats too.

Expect comfortable cabins with all of the essentials needed for cooking and enjoying a short fishing trip. They also have free ice!
