Maynard Lake Lodge & Outpost sits along the English River System and is a fly-in Lodge. The lodge is just 50 air miles from Kenora and just under a three-hour drive from International Falls. For those who do not want to drive, the lodge can arrange air travel from Winnipeg International Airport or International Falls. Maynard Lake Lodge & Outpost offers five-star accommodations for fishing enthusiasts from all over the globe. As the only lodge on the Maynard lake, guests are treated to what is essentially a private lake. That means outstanding fishing.

Lodging at Maynard Lake Lodge & Outpost

There is a single outpost cabin that is more like a small home. It offers screened porches, lake views, sitting and dining areas, wood stove, a full and modern kitchen. Expect hot and cold running water, solar power lights, and three piece bathroom. Outside there is a BBQ and the kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, etc.

The main lodge is a rustic chic affair with a full dining room, gourmet foods, and room for 36 people. There is a game room with pool, darts and games. Guests can relax in the lounge and enjoy Satellite TV. There is free Wi-Fi. Guests who stay at the main lodge sleep in one of the six deluxe cabins that offer three piece bathrooms, separate bedrooms a living area, wet bar, electricity, small fridge for beverages, wood stove, and linens. These cabins come with daily maid service. Overall, expect to be cared for, nice digs, and good food.

Fishing with Maynard Lake Lodge & Outpost

The Walleye and Smallmouth Bass fishing here is outstanding. The lake also has Muskie. The fishing here is guided or unguided. The overall routine is that you wake up to fresh coffee and a hot breakfast follows in a half an hour. You simply walk down to the boat dock where the staff has prepared your boat. If you are fishing with a guide they will be there waiting to help you catch trophy fish. Guides make a big difference if you want to target trophies. The lake is full of fish and plenty are large sized. This is also Northern Pike territory and while not the largest fish in the lake, they get to be over 40 inches in length.

This is an excellent place for full fishing adventures and living the good life. There is a driving range on one end of the property and a sauna on the other. Soak it up, because tomorrow... there is fishing.
