Fishing with Milton Lake Lodge
What does Big mean at Milton Lake Lodge? Well, when it comes to Northern Pike, big means 35 pounds or more. The trick to catching the big Pike is to understand their nature. They are lazy fish that save their energy for fighting. As such, they lurk in the weed beds waiting for smaller fish to come along. By smaller, we mean anything that is smaller than they are. It is not uncommon to battle a nice Grayling or Lake Trout and then have a big Northern Pike Latch onto it. If you are patient you can haul them both into the boat. In terms of Lake Trout, big here is 40-50 pounds. That is a lot of Lunker to battle and Lake Trout are pretty good at putting up a fight.
Overall, you cannot go wrong here with the fishing. The lodge offers comfort and plenty of relaxation during your down time too.
