Murray Lake Cottages sits near Wawa, Ontario and Northeast of Lake Superior. The lodge sits about 10.5 hours from Toronto and International falls in the beautiful wilderness that surrounds Murray Lake. Here fishermen come to find outstanding fishing for Walleye, Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass, Brook Trout, Lake Trout, and Perch. They also offer bear hunts in the spring & fall.

Staying with Murray Lake Cottages

The lodge offers five cabins most of which were recently renovated. Cabins feature kitchens with propane refrigerators, a stove, and all the equipment you'd need to have a pleasant stay. Outside are BBQ's. The bathrooms are three-piece and there is electricity for lights via solar power (with battery backup). It sounds more rugged than it is. Expect comfortable cabins with a nice mix of amenities. The cabins sleep from 2 - 10 guests depending on the cabin.

Fishing with Murray Lake Cottages

Guests fish from Naden boats with 15 HP Motors and most people come to Murray Lake for the Walleye and why not; this is a prime set of lakes for walleye. All spawning size Walleye are catch and release for 22-28 inch fish to help ensure a healthy population of walleye. Murray Lake is 2,840 acres of surface water that is prime breeding grounds for Walleye. That is one of the reasons the Walleye here are so large. For Northern Pike fishermen, it is not hard to find Pike in the 40-42 inch range with some Pike approaching the 47-inch range. Smallmouth Bass fishing is an all day adventure as you can reel them in just as fast as you can catch them.
