Fishing with Normandy Lodge

Guests are welcome to bring their own boat. The lodge has an easy in-out launch facility and there is plenty of dock space. Guests fish from 14-foot aluminum or fiberglass boats with 9.9 HP motors. Kabenung Lake is about ten miles in length and has a history of being one of the most productive fishing lakes for all of Ontario.

The lake offers plenty of fishing for Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass, Walleye, and Whitefish. The lake is an easy fishing venue because the fish are plentiful. This makes the location outstanding for novice fishermen. For veterans, the lake offers unique challenges with an assortment of underwater structures, and some smart Northern Pike with which you can try to outsmart.

Portage lakes offer access to Lake Trout, Perch, and Brook Trout. The lodge provides easy-to-read maps of all of the lakes and if you ask, they will happily point out where the best fishing sports are based on the recent fishing reports.

Fishing guides are available and add value to your trip because nobody will know the local waterways as well as a seasoned guide. If you want the best fishing adventure possible, consider using a guide.
