Gow Lake is full of Walleye, Northern Pike, and Lake Trout. The lake runs right into the surrounding wilderness with boreal forests right up to the shoreline. There are plenty of places to find Walleye and the quiet bays offer prime spots to target Northern Pike. The Lake Trout fishing here is unreal. Some of the lakes have 100 foot plus depths and the big Lake Trout will head deep in the warmer weather. The lake has a 5 km diameter with large island in the middle that offers plenty of opportunities for fishing even if weather is not ideal.
Interesting factoid: Gow lake is naturally formed but not through traditional means. It is a crater caused by an impact from a meteorite some 200 million years ago.
