Lodging with Northern Wilderness Outfitters

These remote outposts are for the DIY type person as there is no staff to provide meals or do the dishes. The cabins are well-equipped and offer a full kitchen with full-sized appliances. Each cabin features hot and cold running water for cooking and showers. Additions include large, comfortable bunks, sitting, and dining areas. For heat, there is a wood stove. Outdoors is a BBQ and seating around the deck. There are 20 cabins spread over 220 air miles. Expect to find clean and comfortable accommodations in a private setting with outstanding fishing opportunities. This lodge has been doing this for over 30 years and they have your fishing adventure well-in-hand.

Fishing with Northern Wilderness Outfitters

Guests fish from 14-foot aluminum boats that feature padded, swivel seat and are powered by 6 hp motors. Guests are expected to bring their own fishing gear. Fishing opportunities depend on which cabin you choose.

The two cabins on Tessup Lake are good for Walleye and Northern Pike. They can accommodate 6-8 guests each.

Further North are seven additional cabins that each hold up to eight guests. These are outstanding fishing areas for both Walleye and Northern Pike. The lakes include:

Glitter Lake
Dunne Lake
Pipio Lake
Dasant Lake
Moberly Lake
Holly Lake
Bishop Lake
At the 200 Air Mile mark are eleven additional cabins. These all hold between 6-8 people. The lakes include:

Wabakimi Lake
Tew Lake
Granite Lake
Birch Lake
Mink Lake
Richardson Lake
Carillon Lake
Lil Shab Lake
Okanse Lake
Sessi Lake
This is an area that is well-known for outstanding Walleye and Northern Pike fishing. If you have a fishing target other than Walleye or Northern Pike, some lakes also hold Smallmouth bass, Lake Trout, and Perch.

Overall, expect to find comfortable accommodations in the remote Ontario wilderness on lakes that are prime fishing grounds. The Lodge encourages a catch-and-release policy and that means you have better chances of fighting a trophy fish.
