The Quesnel Lake Caribou Lodge sits just inside the Nopiming Provincial Park in Southern Manitoba. The lodge is found along Quesnel Lake in its quiet northwest corner. Guests of the lake enjoy fishing here because of the easy access to three prime fishing lakes. Those include Quesnel Lake, Manigotagan Lake, and Happy Lake. The diversity of lakes gives fishermen plenty of opportunities to try new habitat, target the same species of fish in different locations, and fish in areas that are not often fished.

Guests stay in one of the eleven cabins here at the lodge. Cabins range in size from 2-14 people making this a great place for couples, groups, and families. Expect hot showers, indoor plumbing, and comfortable quarters. This is a Bring-Your-Own-Bedding lodge.

Fishing with the Quesnel Lake Caribou Lodge

Guests can rent 16- or 18-foot Lund boats with 15 or 40 hp motors. They also have an 8-person pontoon boat that is for guided fishing trips.

Guests have the option of targeting Walleye, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, and Perch. The lakes are conservation lakes and size-limits are in place.

The lakes are all connected, but offer different habitats. At Quesnel Lake, you fish for Trophy Walleye, Trophy Northern Pike, and Trophy Smallmouth Bass. The Perch fishing is good here too. Expect shore lunches and even the option to camp on one of the islands.

Manigotagan Lake is a Reef lake, which means you have access to big Smallmouth Bass, Walleye, Northern Pike, and Perch. The big Smallmouth bass like to find a place to defend so if you like battling big Bass, this is the place to do so.

Happy Lake is a portage lake so a short walk is necessary. This is an ideal lake for targeting Smallmouth Bass and big Walleye, especially around the falls.
