Rainbow Point Lodge sits near the northern tip of Perrault Lake. The camp is easy to find and offers a wilderness setting that is just a few minutes off of Highway 105. The Lodge is an easy drive from International Falls, which is about 4 hours away by car. This is a wonderful lake for fishing, and it offers a nice population of Walleye, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, Muskie, and Jumbo Perch.

Guests stay in one of the modern cabins that feature a three piece bathroom, fully equipped kitchens, and a beautiful open floor plan. There is a living area, dining area, and a big kitchen. The lodge supplies all linens and all guests need to bring is groceries and bath and kitchen towels.

Fishing with Rainbow Point Lodge

The lake has over 50 miles of rugged shoreline that offers amazing habitat for fishing. There are points, bays, underwater structures that offer a varied habitat for all kind of fishing. Guests can travel by boat up the Ord River which connects with many of the other lakes in the area. There is a voluntary catch-and-release program in place and guests are encouraged to release the big fish to help increase the breeding stock and fishing experience for future guests.

Walleye are a favorite fish for guests to target, but many are pulled in by the fight and power of the Northern Pike. The big fish on the lake are the Muskie, which can be as long as a grown man is tall. Muskie are amazing predatory fish. They call them the "fish-of-ten-thousand-casts" because it is difficult to entice them to strike. These are lurking fish that reserve their energy for gulping down prey. The big joke about Muskie fishing is that they hook YOU, and they do. Battling a fish that size is an experience that changes you...but until that happens there's plenty of good Walleye fishing to be had here.
