Ruffo's Sportsman Lodge is a Northern Saskatchewan fishing lodge that sits along the shores of McIntosh Lake, which is part of the world-famous Churchill River System. This is a fly-in lodge that is easy to get to from the La Ronge Airport. The lodge sits just outside of La Ronge and the fishing here is great for Northern Pike.

Lodging with Ruffo's Sportsman Lodge

The lodge is big and can easily accommodate groups up to 30. Guests stay in modern and newer log cabins with full sitting areas, three piece bathrooms, and plenty of comfort. Each cabin has a deck and seating, comfortable beds, and plenty of space. They are fully thermostatically controlled and have separate bedrooms.

Dining for breakfast and dinner is via the main lodge where the spacious dining room has a bar and serves plenty of good food. Fishermen enjoy a world-famous shore lunch with plenty of good food and fresh fish.

Fishing with Ruffo's Sportsman Lodge

This is trophy fish country and McIntosh Lake has both Trophy Walleye and Trophy Northern Pike. This is also a catch and release lodge and because of their conservation efforts, the lake is full of Trophy fish. This is one of the reasons that the lodge has such a high rate of repeat guests - the fishing just gets better each year.

Guests fish from Lund boats and every fishing trip is fully guided. The guide ratio is one guide per two fishermen. What is beautiful about McIntosh Lake is that is offers a wide diversity of fishing opportunities. There are the quieter places where the big Northern Pike like to lurk and the heavy action places amid the whitewater riffle zones where you can battle big Trophy Walleye. All the while you fish you are surrounded by the most amazing natural and scenic vistas. This is definitely a place that people who love to fish should venture.
