Half Day: $250 to $500 Per Person
Full Day: $500 to $750 Per Person

Streamside Outfitters makes your adventure all about you, and they focus on customized trips that tick off the boxes on your fishing to-do list. They are happy to guide fly fishermen or those fishers who use a rod and spin caster reel. This is also an outfit that offers nearly year-round fishing with summer fly fishing or spin cast fishing and late season and winter Ice fishing.

Custom Fly Fishing Adventures in Alberta

What sets the Streamside Outfitters apart from many other fine guides on the Bow River is that they offer you access to waters below the Carseland Weir where the public has no access and the permits that are issued for that section of the Bow River are limited. The less pressure from fishers means big Rainbows and Wild Trophy Brown Trout. What you gain is access to remarkable fishing, an experienced guide, and lunch. You must bring your own rod, waders, and flies. Rain gear and sunscreen are also recommended. They offer to outfit their clients for an additional fee.

Fly Fishing or Spin Casting on the Bow River occurs in parties of one or two anglers. You can also opt for a Walk and Wade adventure which can put you on some big fish too.

The Bow River

Upland of Calgary, the Bow River is a haven for cutthroat, big Brown Trout, and Bull Trout. This is the Eastern Side of the Rocky Mountain and as such, the terrain is not always conducive for drifting. That means there are some really remarkable spots to toss flies where most people don't go. If you love Wild Fish with the chance to tangle it up with big Trophy Bull Trout and Browns, then a Walk and Wade adventure is just what you need.

The blue ribbon portion of the Bow River is prized for its big Rainbows and Browns. Upstream of Calgary you are entering the rugged part of the river and have access to big Brook Trout, Cutthroat Trout, Bull Trout, and Brown Trout. There are places you can hit Northern Pike, and Lake Trout too.
