Tazin Lake Lodge

Guest of the lodge stay in cabins that hold parties between four and six guests. Expect comfortable accommodations with features like feather duvets and real mattresses. Each cabin offers a full bathroom with hot water and showers. Heat is via a wood burning stove and there is daily maid service and fresh linens. Guests enjoy plenty of comfortable seating areas to relax and unwind after a long day of fishing.

The Lake is long. It stretches some 40 km and spans 10-12 kms in width. It is home to big Lake Trout and Trophy Northern Pike. Tazin Lake is made up of many twists and turns which produce amazing secluded bays and islands. These are prime fishing locations for Trophy Pike and the lake is full of Trophy Pike.

The fishing here is guided and it is the guides who make the fishing experience here so amazing. This is a big lake and the guides know it well. When you say you want to target Trophy Pike, they know where the big fish are. The lake is catch and release which is why the population of trophy fish here is amazing.

Targeting Lake Trout is not always easy. The fish have very specific preferences when it comes to water temperature. Because the lake gets colder the deeper you go, the fish move around between the water depths as the seasons change. In the late spring and early summer the big Lake Trout are not far off shore and usually can be found in 10-20 feet of water. However when the water heats up in mid to late summer, the big Lake Trout head for deep water. Knowing the water temperature helps you find those big Trophy Lake Trout and the guides here will know how to put you onto of those Trophies.
