Temagami Lodge is an Island location on Lake Temagami near the hub which means easy access to the lodge and the mainland. This is a deep lake, with rugged shores and beautiful mountains full of trees. This is a place of amazing sunsets and outstanding fishing.

Guests of the lodge stay in one of the five housekeeping cabins with their own docks. The island itself is an 8-acre parcel with over 2,000 feet of pristine shoreline. Guests are welcome to bring their own boat or rent one of the 16-foot aluminum boats from the lodge.

Fishing with Temagami Lodge

The lake is home to over 1,200 islands, so the opportunities to fish are amazing. The waters offer Lake Trout, Walleye, Smallmouth Bass, and Northern Pike. During the hottest part of the summer most of the fish head to shaded pools or into the depths. This is an excellent time to fish for Lake Trout. The Walleye school up and find refuge among the underwater structures while the Smallmouth bass find a place to lurk. The large lake and the abundance of structures mean there is a huge population of fish available. The Northern Pike will mostly be found along the shores in weedy patches, but some of the trophy-sized fish may lurk around the islands too. Everyone should try to target Northern Pike. They offer a tremendous amount of fight.

The Lodge offers the use of their fishing shack that is a fully equipped fish processing station. The shack is maintained by the staff on a daily basis so that it is always ready for use.

The lodge is family friendly, and there are plenty of activities available to keep kids busy having fun. There are ample opportunities for wildlife viewing. There are kayakers and canoes available too. The lake is perfect for swimming, and there are trails for hiking. Overall, expect very clean cottages, friendly staff, and some of Northern Ontario's best fishing.
