Fishing with Three Lakes Camp

Jan Lake offers a variety of fishing habitats. From the rocky shores, you can target big Walleye, Yellow Perch, and even Trophy Northern Pike. The lake is home to many islands which also make good places to target Walleye and Northern Pike.

The Best time to Target big Trophy Northern Pike is in June before the water gets too warm. In August and September, the winter feeding begin and the Northern Pike and Walleye are hunting for food. This is a big lake, some 15 miles long and close to seven miles wide. There are plenty of coves, hidden bays, and rocky points for you to target. There you will find the big Trophy Fish. For Pike, the best place to look is in the thick cabbage weed beds where they tend to lurk. The bigger Walleye like to find a place to perch and they often take the smaller cabbage weed patches. Because the juvenile Walleye tend to hunt in packs, you can really slay them when you find them.

Overall, the fishing here will not disappoint you. Expect plenty of wildlife, comfortable cabins, and outstanding fishing.
