    2 - 3 Days: $500 to $750 Per Person
  • Access: Drive In Camp Fly In Camp

Tornado's Resorts is a mix of a drive in lodge and fly-in Outpost Cabins. What you find at either style of lodging is outstanding fishing. The main lodge sits just off the 522 Highway and about 350 km from Toronto.

Lodging with Tornado's Resorts

The main lodge offers a ton of activities from canoeing and swimming in summer to snowmobiling and dog sledding in Winter. Here you will find a variety of housing from a historic five-bedroom Settler's Lodge to 2-3 bedroom waterfront cottages, and even waterfront Motel rooms. The Main lodge is open year round. On-site facilities include a licensed restaurant with a lounge, Wi-Fi, game room and Satellite TV. Pets are welcome

Additionally, there are two fly-in lodges the Smoky Lane Lodge and the Portage Lake Lodge and two outpost cabins. There is access to 17 remote lakes and the Magnetewan River. So fishing here is at your level of service. For those who like to DIY the outposts are the place to head. For those who want to fish all day and find outstanding service dockside, then the main lodge or fly-in lodges are the places to head.

Fishing with Tornado's Resorts

With an abundance of lakes from which to choose, guests can pretty much find a lake that suits their fishing style. Many of the lakes offer waterway connections to other lakes. Smoky Lake for example, connects easily to Noganosh Lake, Last Lake, Mud Lake, Clear Bay, and John Lake.

Each lake is different and if you have something specific that you want, the lodge can arrange that or point you to a list of housing options that match your needs. For example, if you want a clear water lake with a rocky bottom and plenty of structures, then Smoky Lake is an option. If you want a lake with a fast shoreline and access to both Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass then Portage Lake is an outstanding option. If you want trophy Smallmouth Bass then Straight Lake is a good bet. If you want a lake with a variety of fishing options, then Noganosh Lake not only has a large selection of fish species, it offers a diverse habitat that allows you to choose the type of fishing you want.

Fish species are dependent upon the lake you choose but expect outstanding Walleye fishing everywhere. Some lakes offer both Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass as well as trophy fishing for Northern Pike.
