The Wekusko Falls Lodge sits along the Grass River next to the Wekusko Falls Provincial Park. The lodge sits 686.6 km from Winnipeg which is almost a seven-hour drive. This is rugged country along the Manitoba side of the Canadian Shield and the waters here are teeming with fish.
The lodge holds upwards of 40 guests at one time and offers eight cabins. Cabins are well-appointed with amenities such as satellite TV, Wi-Fi, full kitchens with freezer, AC/heat, and an in-cabin coffee maker. Bed options are glorious too. Some cabins offers queen-sized beds or double beds, or a mixture of single beds, double with single bunk, bunk beds, and/or hide-a-bed options. What you can expect are clean and comfortable quarters with outstanding views of the Grass River and the Wekusko Falls.
Fishing with the Wekusko Falls Lodge
Expect to target Trophy Walleye, Trophy Northern Pike, big Sauger, and huge Lake Trout and Rainbow Trout.
The lodge offers boat rentals and guests fish from canoe or sixteen foot aluminum boats fitted with depth finders and 4-stroke motors.
Guides are available and as an added option the lodge offers guided only excursion into the deep wilderness where you will find lakes that few people ever fish. That gives you the advantage as the fish here are pure and wild and unfamiliar with fishermen and their tricks.
There is cell service available at the lodge, and kids are welcome. The lodge is perfect for couples, families, groups and corporate events.
