Wekusko Falls Lodge
  • Approximate Cost:
    6 - 7 Days: $1,000 to $1,500 Per Person
    4 - 5 Days: $750 to $1,000 Per Person
    2 - 3 Days: $250 to $500 Per Person
  • Access: Drive In Camp

The Wekusko Falls Lodge sits along the Grass River next to the Wekusko Falls Provincial Park. The lodge sits 686.6 km from Winnipeg which is almost a seven-hour drive. This is rugged country along the Manitoba side of the Canadian Shield and the waters here are teeming with fish.

The lodge holds upwards of 40 guests at one time and offers eight cabins. Cabins are well-appointed with amenities such as satellite TV, Wi-Fi, full kitchens with freezer, AC/heat, and an in-cabin coffee maker. Bed options are glorious too. Some cabins offers queen-sized beds or double beds, or a mixture of single beds, double with single bunk, bunk beds, and/or hide-a-bed options. What you can expect are clean and comfortable quarters with outstanding views of the Grass River and the Wekusko Falls.

Fishing with the Wekusko Falls Lodge

The lodge is open year-round and divides its fishing seasons between fair-weather fishing and Ice Fishing. Guests have access to four main lakes plus guided remote lakes. Tramping Lake is a proven Trophy Walleye lake and the others are just as exciting to fish.

Expect to target Trophy Walleye, Trophy Northern Pike, big Sauger, and huge Lake Trout and Rainbow Trout.

The lodge offers boat rentals and guests fish from canoe or sixteen foot aluminum boats fitted with depth finders and 4-stroke motors.

Guides are available and as an added option the lodge offers guided only excursion into the deep wilderness where you will find lakes that few people ever fish. That gives you the advantage as the fish here are pure and wild and unfamiliar with fishermen and their tricks.

There is cell service available at the lodge, and kids are welcome. The lodge is perfect for couples, families, groups and corporate events.

  • Bryan and Elissa are phenomenal and really make you feel at home. The cabins are renovated and have kitchenettes which are stocked with everything you need. The falls are stunning and well worth the stay. Plenty of things to do and the fishing is great. Perfect getaway whether it?s for fishing or just relaxing with the family.

  • This was my first time here. A couple of friends invited me to go ice fishing. It is a beautiful place and the cabins are fantastic. I highly recommend staying here. The sound of the running water at the falls during the winter can be heard at your cabin. I really enjoyed that.

  • Owners are very friendly and the cabin was neat and comfortable. Cabin's include a small, but well stocked kitchenette. Unfortunately there is no restaurant nearby, but we brought food with us and were glad for the kitchenette. Beautiful view of Grass River right outside your cabin, and the provincial park across the road. Would come here again!

  • They accommodations where amazing we had the cabin by the falls, great view. The fishing was great now the downfall. The customer service was terrible, as a fishing lodge we received no directions to spots, what lures to use, bait to use, depth to target in. Then I asked for a jack spot and the exact directions for Reed lake was turn left. Reed lake is massive, never once did they check up on us or ask us how the fishing was, when we would be back where we fished so not only did they not care about if we caught fish but zero safety concern for our group. So my advice is if you don't care about service and just need a nice place to stay well they got you covered. If you have expectations may your search continue to other lodges.

  • Bryan, Elissa and all of their staff were amazing and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable, well fed and enjoyed our stay. We came up for work, but will definitely be back with the family to do some fishing.
